i was by Tempe Diable for about an hour this morning and saw some work outs, mainly Aybar, Casey Smith and Hainley Statia working on the double play with Piccolo hiting ground balls to them. i'll get a few pictures up and did take some video - i'll see about getting the YouTube thing figured out tonight. got another ball too - that's ten for the spring.- cha!
I asked Bill Lachemann how Marcel was doing - i guess he's in the Colorado front office and has been for a few years, though i see him involved as the pitching coach for USA baseball here in the fall.
I asked Nick Adenhart if he was still going to ASU - he said no, just in '04-'05, but he said it was fun though. i also asked him if he hung around the sun devil baseball program and he said no, not at all. He's really a nice guy. i can't believe last year i thought he was about 5'10" and even said it on this board i think but was quickly corrected. He's tall! About 6'4" as reported. it must have been his youthful appearance last year that threw me - a boy among men. Dude looks like Mark Prior and has a built like Mike Witt - i hope he NEVER gets dealt.

it says that the game on Saturday is blacked out for my area. WTF is up with that? I get the Braves/Pirates and the Dodgers....why not the Angels? I thought that was the whole idea behind Arte's name change-to expand the market and get more TV time!?!!?
time warner is terrible.. its been the worst comapny i've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.. first the internet troubles during all of december/january and now taking my angels games away...
