Panther of the Game:
John Lackey

Climbing out from under the Centerfield Rockpile, Lackey stretched it to 26+ consecutive scoreless innings. Vlad went Yard, Rivera had a big insurance double and the hometown faithful loved the opening of the season's 2nd half, celebrating with a post-game fireworks show of "Classic Rock":
I Love Rock N Roll - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Jump - Van Halen
American Band - Grand Funk Raiload
Calling All Angels - Train
William Tell Overture - Gioacchino Rossini
Classic rock? No, but at least another Classic from the Texan under the Rockpile!

Just finished the game on tivo
Couple of thoughts:Lackey is in an amazing zone, he's so much fun to watch right now.
Rivera better stay in the lineup (and in LF! Let GA get off his feet).
I'm getting very excited about Figgy's recent hitting.
Its good to have Vlad back.
And finally, Damn! Napoli's even good at getting hit by a pitch! Just turn your back and take it between the numbers so nothing gets hurt. Is there anything this kid doesn't do well?
